Avoid Type 2 Diabetes and Dramatically Lower Health Care Costs
We’re the 2 Keto Dudes, a couple guys on the Internet who reversed our own type 2 diabetes using a ketogenic diet and started a podcast about it. We also lost a considerable amount of weight, gained muscle mass, and enjoy more stamina and strength than we’ve ever experienced in our lives.
In July, 2017, we were invited to give a talk on the dangers of high blood sugar to two companies in San Antonio, TX. One company was a major tech firm. The other was an incubator. We tested the HbA1c (an average of blood sugar percentage over three months) of 133 people who attended the talks (in total) and showed the numbers (anonymized for privacy reasons) to both groups.
We found that 52% (69.16 out of 133) had blood sugar levels that were 5.5% or greater.
An HbA1c of 5.5% means that your blood glucose has average 110 mg/dl (or 6.1 mmol/l) for the past 3 months. A blood glucose of 110 mg/dl (6.1 mmol/l) is the point above which the pancreatic beta cells (that produce insulin) are dying off from glucose toxicity faster than the pancreas can create new beta cells by cell division [Source: β-Cell Deficit and Increased β-Cell Apoptosis in Humans With Type 2 Diabetes]. Stem cells don’t work in the pancreas. When beta cells are gone, you have to inject insulin every day to stay alive and you have become an insulin dependent diabetic.
What Does it Cost?
The ADA estimates based on data from 2012, that a type 2 diabetic spends 7900 per year in medical costs related to type 2 diabetes. That figure is bound to be higher now.
So, 69.16 * 7900 = $546,364
If the people in the room continued to progress to type 2 diabetes – and they will – the medical costs would be astronomical. It is in the best interest of companies to educate their employees about this coming tsunami, and give them the tools to prevent it.
The Intervention
We did a YouTube video highlighting the intervention in 3 parts.
Part 1: The science – http://fix1.2keto.com
Part 2: The diet – http://fix2.2keto.com
Part 3 we will do in October, when we come back and see how much the group has lowered their A1c, and how much money was saved.

Good, straightforward stuff. Mighty sobering, too.
I’d like more proof about beta cell recovery can only happen at 5.5-110 or better.
I am a diabetes 1.5 and probably insulin dependent with low score on insulin s.
AND if the above is true , what is the impossibility of ketosis with my insulin use average 16u LaBrusciano and. 7.5 a1c
Spell check screwed up. LANTUS.
